Performance Reporting

Solution Overview

APG is a performance and service level management solution that allows effective management of the performance of the overall business. IT Operations' personnel rely on the APG interface to troubleshoot problems efficiently. The product features various report types, drill-down facilities and search mechanisms, helping to speed-up problem resolution time.

Key Features

Real-time and Historical reporting

Users access reports by using the web-based portal. All reports display the latest data (real-time) available, but it is possible to scroll in the past for historical analysis. Additionally, users can schedule a report for email generation - and send it in different formats (i.e.: pdf or excel). APG provides multiple ways to access reports quickly and efficiently: a navigation tree provides a simple but powerful method for viewing the reports; a built-in search provides a quick access to reports; and the portal displays synthetic views like the Exceptions' reports, which list past and current violations, as well as TopN ranking reports to quickly identify stressed resources across a large network.

Role-based dashboards

The APG dashboard is fully configurable: for each user profile, it presents targeted information about the service level and performance summaries.

  • Operators and Engineers get real-time and historical visibility for troubleshooting and capacity trending purposes.
  • CIOs and Executives get a synthetic and clear presentation though summary reports.
  • Customers get service level and performance summaries for their specific sites.

Health Analysis, using Normalized Scores

APG computes high-level views by summarizing the performances of resources (or groups of resources) that need attention using a computed normalized score, from 0 (excellent) to 100 (bad). From this high-level view, the user can drill-down to a more technical information and see which component is performing poorly. Pre-configured reports compute a score by device, IT silos, customer or geographical sites.

Automatic "Hot Spots" detection

As performance data is collected, thousands or millions of relevant performance metrics are analyzed. Every suspicious activity reported and documented in a global report, called "Situation to Watch", from where operations' staff can drill into more details. This report can be also configured to be sent periodically by email to users.
