Third Party Integration
Solution Overview
APG's multi-tier architecture is composed of modules - collectors, databases, portals - that can be installed on a single server, or for larger environments be distributed over multiple servers, enabling the collection and analysis of hundreds of thousands of devices.
The APG product can work as a standalone system, or can be integrated with adjacent systems, as shown below, in order to design a complete solution aligned with best-practice process frameworks.

Key Features
EMS/NMS Integration
Watch4Net APG offers a multiple ways to smoothly interface with your existing EMS/NMS platforms, either through a two-ways vendor-specific adapter (i.e. Collector for EMC Ionix, Collector for Alcatel SAM 5620...) or through open interfaces (SQL, CLI, WebService, ...).
Various points of integration exist, such as:- Topology Data from the fault management application, used to seed APG
- Performance Data from your EMS and NMS are collected by APG and centralized for global reporting and cross-silos analysis
- Alarms generated by APG are forwarded to your fault management console
- Context-sensitive launch of APG reports from your fault management console
Portal Integration
Watch4Net APG provides a web service from where a corporate portal can retrieve raw data from the database or generated reports. The APG Web Service leverages Enterprise Standards like SOAP and WSDL to offer its functionality. It provides a low level access to the APG databases - including raw data - and provides access to the reporting engine.
Provisioning system (i.e. CMDB) Integration
APG can listen for topology information coming from a provisioning system to automatically start polling devices, providing automation and flexibility that large carriers need. Multiple inbound adapters are available in the APG suite to seed APG with the infrastructure topology, device properties and service/customer information.
Data Warehouse Integration
The APG Software Suite has a publish and documented database structure and open outbound interfaces (i.e Web Service Adapter) to enable corporations extract the APG data and populate their data warehouse.
