The ReportPack for Storage provides advanced reporting on the health, the performance and the capacity of the Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure.
This module uses an innovative way to consolidate information: it collects data directly from the Storage Management Consoles, such as EMC ControlCenter or EMC|SMARTS Storage Insight. In addition, APG extends the data collection to IT devices, servers, delimited files and SQL databases.
Once collected, data is converted into KPI (Key Performance Indicator). The product comes with a set of ready-to-use reports, addressed to different audiences - technical, strategic, customers – and features a built-in analytics helping notify users on potential risks like performance degradation or service level violations.
This unique architecture delivers greater reliability and cost-savings than traditional polling-based solutions: the automatic synchronisation with best-in-class management applications lowers the maintenance and automatically adapts to changing networks. The overall solution result in a global view of the storage infrastructure – including arrays, fiber channel switches, SAN-attached hosts, disks and Luns.
