Hundreds of ready-to-use reports

The Watch4Net APG core software comes prepackaged with hundreds of predefined and ready-to-use standards reports providing real value from day one. The default reports cover the most common technologies and vendors. They include all the technical graphs and tables, strategic dashboards, key performance indicators, and preconfigured analytics to diagnose health, assess performance, and plan future growth of your infrastructure.

Predefined reports are categorized by Inventory, Performance Scorecards, TopN, Situations to Watch, Service Levels, and Capacity Planning. With these out of the box standards reports, your teams will be able to understand and analyze in real-time the health of the infrastructure including: LAN, WAN, UNIX Servers, and Windows Servers. Reports also cover certified vendors such as Cisco, Nortel, Extreme Networks, Foundry Networks, Juniper Networks, and more. Thresholds conditions are aligned with best-practices, and can be easily customized to suit your infrastructure and service levels.

Inventory Reports

APG collects hardware and software inventory details for each asset. Depending on the domain or device involved, the information includes the model, vendor, IP and MAC addressing, and device components like: cards, ports, processors, and disks.

Device Distribution

Device by Type, Device by Firmware versions, Device by Hardware Model, Device by Firmware, and Model

Managed Devices

Total Devices; Inactive Devices; Last day Global availability; List of devices, ports, interfaces and physical/logical components; and View per location

Performance and Capacity

Monitor traffic and usage of all key metrics, in order to deliver proactive planning for growth and to assess demand for network and system assets. Device View reports provide a collection of charts for a given element over a selectable time period. Summary reports are designed to interrogate the performance of a group of individual elements. They provide either graphical or tabular listing of all elements meeting certain criteria.

Performance Scorecards

Application Summary; Interface Summary; Network Summary; Server Summary

Device Overview

Availability, Reachability, Processor Utilization; Physical and Virtual Memory; Memory Buffers; Fragmentation Ratio; Bandwidth; Broadcast/Unicast; Traffic Errors

Interface Overview

Status; Duplex Mode; Speed; Interface Description; Interface Alias; IP and MACs; Peer System; Incoming Traffic; Outgoing Traffic; BroadCast/Unicast; Errors

Situations to Watch

As performance data are collected, millions of relevant performance metrics are analyzed. Every suspicious activity is reported and documented in a global report, named "Situation to Watch", from where operations staff can drill into more details. This report can also be configured to be sent periodically to users by email.

Daily Summary Report

Daily Health Summary; Availability Problems Summary; Bandwidth & Link Errors Summary; Device Performance Problems; Device Reboots; Inventory Changes; Global Availability; Global Bandwidth Usage; Global Performance (normalized stress value)

Availability/Reachability Exceptions

Availability Problems per Device Type; Reachability Problems per Device Type; Reachability Problems per Location

Bandwidth & Link Errors

Broadcast Storms; Interfaces Continuously Over 80%; Interfaces That Hit 98% Peak; Interfaces Unused for the Last 24 hours; Interfaces With 2% or More Packets in Error; Interfaces Admin Up & Oper Status Down (This report lists all the interfaces reported Admin Status UP and Oper Status DOWN for the period. Interface availability equals to 0 means Admin UP and Oper DOWN. Interface availability equals to 100 means Oper status UP)

Device Performance Problems

File Systems Over 80% Utilization; Top Most Stressed Devices (Over 80% Stress); Devices Using More than 50% CPU; CPU Over 80%, 1 hour per day

Device Reboots

Detailed Reports; Devices with Most Reboots

Inventory Changes

Newly polled devices; Recently removed devices

Forecasted Problems

Projected File System Problems; Projected Bandwidth Problems; Projected Device Health/System Resources Problems; Projected Packet Loss Problems; Projected Link Errors

TopN Reports

The TopN reports display a ranked list of elements, sorted in ascending or descending order. These reports are particularly useful for detecting problematic resources across large environments.

SLA Dashboards

By consolidating both business and technology metrics, APG allows contractual SLA measurements and reporting. Users are able to track the compliance in real-time and know at any given time which SLAs are already achieved or lost.

Executive Dashboard

Performance by Site; Performance by Customer; Performance by Device; Performance by IT Silos

Monthly SLA Status

Won versus Violated SLAs (based on monthly availability/reachability); Detailed View by Physical Servers; Detailed View by Routers; Detailed View by Security Devices; Detailed View by Switches

Trending and Forecasting

APG uses the historical data to analyze trends by comparing the current statistics against the historical norm (the "baseline"). Users can utilize the report to anticipate soon-to-be problems, and make informed capacity planning decisions.

Forecasts

Soon-to-be problems for network devices; servers; bandwidth and traffic errors; system Resources; Trend Analysis Reports; Top Baseline Deviations
