APG Software Suite supports interfacing with existing third-party applications, either through a two-way vendor-specific adapter or through open interfaces (SQL, CLI, Web Service, and more).
Interfacing with third-party applications allows APG to collect metrics directly from the EMS/NMS instead of double-polling the network. This allows APG to provide you with global, centralized reporting, and cross-silos analysis.
In addition to the standard data import, numerous points of integration exist, such as:
- Alarms generated by APG are displayed in your fault management console
- Context-sensitive launch of APG reports directly from your fault management console
- Topology Data from the fault management application is used to seed APG
