Overview

The XML and CSV data collector can be used to parse and insert statistical data from any valid XML or CSV file into APG Software Suite. The XML and CSV Collector is a generic module for APG. This Collector can easily be customized to parse third-party or in-house data. Data can be acquired in many different ways: local CLI, SSH, FTP, plain XML files, SOAP Requests, or CSV exports.

Key Features

Quickly integrates third-party data sources

Using simple XML descriptions, the collector for XML and CSV provides fast deployment capabilities and ease of configuration allowing you to start monitoring these legacy/third-party tools quickly.

Leverage existing monitoring and systems management investments

The Collector for XML and CSV is perfectly adapted to leverage legacy systems and third-party tools capable to export statistics and topology information.

Customize data collection

The XML and CSV collector can be configured to adapt to any valid XML file or CSV file containing statistical data. The collector is a lightweight process that can be distributed across the environment, for maximum scalability, flexibility, and security ends. The collector parses the data locally or remotely (e.g.: FTP, SOAP, HTTP, and more) and sends it to the backend/database. This collector is frequently used to parse third-party extracts and exports, in-house data exports and import from other legacy sources.

Allow holistic cross-silo data analysis

By adding legacy systems visibility within APG Software Suite, you will obtain a 360 degree view of your IT infrastructure, from real-time troubleshooting to capacity planning and forecasting, along with portal integration and reporting. Your teams will be able to see cross-silo performance relationships and dependencies in a single pane of glass, enabling your organization to view 'the big picture'.
