Watch4Net Announces APG v4.0

MONTREAL, Feb. 4 -- Watch4Net, a leading provider of service assurance software, today announces the availability of the newest version of its flagship product, APG.

Enterprises and service providers use the APG software to get a consolidated, service-centric view from multiple technology domains -- including network, voice, video, hosts and applications. APG retrieves performance data from devices and fault management systems to produce real- time, historical and forecast visibility for both operations and customers.

Built-in analytics and targeted reports help preserve SLAs, improve service quality and reduce operating costs.

APG V4.0 new features:

• Highly customizable SNMP Poller to collect variables from standard and vendor MIBs.
• New MIB Browser / SNMP Poller Configurator to configure your polling groups, the
  MIB variables to poll and the frequency.
• Brand new EMC Smarts InCharge adapter with highly improved performances, customizable processing and filtering capabilities. It allows advanced data pre-processing and specific cases handling.
• High performance ICMP Poller to provide latency and reachability reports.
• Outage Detector automatically detects your device outages and feed an event database.
• New Oracle adapter with an improved reliability and an easier management.

 APG V4.0 will be available February 4th 2008 and pricing starts at USD $20,000.

APG's scalable architecture includes modules that can be distributed to deliver complete monitoring and reporting for enterprises and carriers networks:

• APG Collectors: lightweight processes that collect data from various
  sources including SNMP, network management systems, Element Management
  Systems, Cisco Netflow, VoIP equipments and enterprise data (SQL
  databases, files, home-grown tools...). They can be scaled and
  deployed as your business grows.
• APG backend and database: The backend module receives, normalizes and
  consolidates the collected data. Data aggregation is performed for
  report acceleration and data retention is managed for storage
  optimization. The database module is self-maintaining and supports
  MySQL, Oracle and Microsoft-SQL with a documented schema.
• APG Portal: The secure Web Portal displays performance and SLA reports
