W4N continues its rise in the Carrier Ethernet field thanks to its recent membership of the MEF
Montreal, Canada - July, 2011 - Watch4net, the leading provider of service assurance software, today announced its official membership of the MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum), continuing its rise in the promising field of Carrier Ethernet. Watch4net’s APG Software Suite is a very flexible and scalable tool, designed to address the new challenge underlying Carrier Ethernet services delivery.
The company, who is already working with leading network equipment vendors to ensure product interoperability and to provide true end-to-end service measurements in terms of frame delivery, latency and QoS, is pleased to become a member of the MEF and is looking forward to taking advantage of the MEF reputation in a field facing explosive demand for bandwidth, driven by residential triple-play, business Ethernet, and Ethernet mobile backhaul.
“Working with the MEF will reinforce our leadership and distinguish Watch4net's position as a leading provider of Carrier Ethernet products.” said Nicolas Souty, CTO at Watch4net.
The Watch4net APG solution has been designed to allow providers to deliver profitable SLA-based Carrier Ethernet services for business, wholesale and mobile backhaul applications, and is now complying with industry recommendations since joining the MEF.
“Watch4net joins an extensive number of service providers and equipment vendors who are working to meet customer bandwidth and performance demands while reducing CAPEX and OPEX costs using MEF compliant Carrier Ethernet.” said Kevin Vachon, MEF COO.
Watch4net deeply believes that adopting Carrier Ethernet services becomes the global technology choice, thanks to compelling capabilities such as standardized service definitions, QoS, and improved scalability. With potentially hundreds of thousands of subscribers with varying service requirements, the complexity of troubleshooting and maximizing network efficiency increases significantly, and the APG Suite appears to be perfectly designed to face this special need.
