Monitor Health and Activity of Unix & Windows Servers

APG performs server monitoring by collecting raw performance metrics from Windows and UNIX servers using an agent-less mode that leverages the server's native SNMP service. Non-SNMP servers can be polled through PowerShell/WMI or SSH commands. Performance measurement can also be collected from the available management systems, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft SCOM and Cisco UCS Manager.

The agent-less data collection has multiple advantages. It is easy to deploy, maintain and non intrusive. It reduces the risk of affecting production systems, and adapted to data-centers where server environments are fairly static by nature.

SSH/Telnet

Leverages the Collector for EMC Ionix to poll topology and performance metrics from the ESM domain, such as process statistics, clustered servers statistics and virtual machines statistics.

Multi-threaded, distributed SNMP v1/2c/3 poller to collect information from SNMP-enabled devices. Comes with a mib browser/loader and configuration GUI to create own SNMP masks.

Uses an agentless approach (SSH/Telnet connections on target devices) to gathers performance data on servers, applications and log files. Support hosts OS detection and templates.
